What is VFS Global?
VFS Global is a commercial company that provides visa application services for many countries, including Portugal. They act as an intermediary between visa applicants and the Portuguese consulates/embassies.
For Portugal visa applications, you must submit your documents and provide biometric data (fingerprints and photo) at a VFS Global center. VFS then forwards your application to the relevant Portuguese consulate for processing.
VFS Global has centers in major cities around the world, but appointment availability is extremely limited, creating a significant bottleneck in the visa application process.

VFS Global only handles the collection and submission of your application. They do not make decisions about your visa approval. The final decision is made by Portuguese immigration authorities.

What to Expect at Your VFS Appointment
Once we secure your VFS appointment, here's what you can expect on the day:
